Go West Schools COVID-19 Policy – Updated August 2020
At Go West Schools Photography the health and safety of our clients and colleagues is of paramount importance. Like many businesses in the UK, we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and following the advice provided by the UK’s health authorities.
We also wanted to update you on the steps that we are taking to ensure we are protecting everyone whilst still fulfilling the needs of our schools. We can confirm that we have had zero cases of Coronavirus among the staff nor has anyone shown any symptoms. We have introduced a range of precautionary measures to minimise the risk of any transmission both in-house and on location.
What is Go West Schools Photography doing in house?
The biggest and most important step we have done In House is to give the capability for all our staff to work from home. This includes, adapting our usual style of face to face meetings, and instead our sales staff are calling schools instead to minimise contact.
We have taken this further, in line with guidance from the authorities we have increased the frequency of cleaning and the focus on hygiene throughout the office. Our staff have all been provided with hand sanitisers, tissues, and disinfectant products to allow them to keep their personal workspaces as clean as possible both on premise and those working at home.
As a team, we are united in our endeavours to work together to ensure the health of each colleague, promoting safety and well being above all else.
How is Go West Schools Photography helping safety when coming into our schools?
We are taking guidance from the authorities to help inform us of any changes or closures to schools that may occur.
All our photographers have been provided with hand sanitisers and tissues to allow them to keep clean as possible to help minimise any risk.
We have adapted our lighting to increase the distance away from the pupils in our photography set-ups. Along with this we have enforced a strict no contact of any kind rule with the photographers to anyone else onsite at a school, (no handshakes or holding children hands to help guide them into place). We will ask pupils to stand when having their photograph taken this Autumn to avoid any touching of the same surface by children.
We have provided our photographers with their own water to reduce the need to go to the staff room/ communal areas during any breaks.
We hope you feel confident to allow us into your schools to continue photographing your children to help put smiles on parents faces. As standard we will contact you before our arrival to ensure you are happy with the booking and request the normal information we require before photography day.
We are aware that this public health situation is a complex, ever-changing one. As the situation evolves daily, so too may our/ your/ the government’s response.
We will update our Covid-19 policy to help you stay informed on any photography status changes. We will continue to monitor the situation and make any adjustments as necessary and keep you informed via phone should we need to.
